Pet Gun Dog Classes

For all pet gun dog breeds and gun dog crosses

Learn how to harness your dog's natural instincts and build on those foundations and delve into recall on a whistle, stay, steadiness and more!

What's included in pet gun dog classes

  1. In this course we’ll help you learn to work together with your dog in the environment

  2. Harness your dog's natural instincts and build on those foundations, forming a great partnership

  3. Start building a level of control that exceeds the excitement of the "hunt"

  4. Learn how to build high value rewards through play, recall on a whistle, stay, steadiness, introduction to a place board, go to target, basic retrieval patterns with cues and heel work

  5. Free membership to our exclusive Facebook community group for ongoing advice and support

What else do I need to know?

  • Cost is £99.99 for X4 sessions spread over 4 weeks, lasting 60 minutes each

  • This training is aimed at all gun dogs breeds and gun dog crosses (Cockapoos, Labradoodles etc) who are OVER 6 months old

  • The course is taught by our instructor Becky who is an instructor through the Gun Dog Trainers Academy under Helen Phillips

  • There will be a maximum of 6 dogs per session, so dogs need to be capable of coping in a group situation and working in the vicinity of other dogs

  • You will need to bring the following items with you to all classes:
    - 6 ft / 2M lead (normal clip leads only) to attach to your dog’s flat collar or harness
    - Plenty of high value treats (a lot more than you think you will need), as we are unable to supply these
    - Sufficient poo bags with you
    - Water bowl and bottle of water for your dog
    - Mat or blanket for your dog
    - Favourite toy for your dog
    - A retrieve article (this can be a toy, but not something the dog will play with, just something they will pick up and bring back)
    - A clicker
    - A whistle
