One to One Training

Who is this training for?

If you are struggling with your puppy or dog (aged 5 months+) pulling on the lead, not coming back when called, not being able to sit or stay, barking at people and other dogs or jumping up, this is for you!

It's also perfect for busy owners who can't fit in regular weekly training classes, or dogs who cannot cope in class environments

My dog shows anxious or aggressive behaviour - can I book 1:1 Training?

This service is NOT for dogs showing dog to dog reactivity, aggression, resource guarding or anxiety/stress, as these are complex issues which require more support and would instead need our Behaviour Consultation Service

What will One to One Training achieve?

The trainer will help you identify how your dog learns best, what motivates them, how to generalise training techniques to real life situations and continue to build upon essential life skills, so that both you and your dog feel happier and calmer in day to day life

Is support available between sessions?

You can contact your trainer via email or WhatsApp between sessions if you need additional guidance and support

What else do I need to know?

Where does it take place?

The sessions take place at our APDS Training & Behaviour Centre, near Leominster & Hereford

If getting to the Training & Behaviour Centre is difficult for you, please get in touch with us, as one of the team may be able to you (travel charges will apply)

What is the cost?

Single sessions are £50

Each session offers 60 minutes with an APDS Trainer at our dedicated Training Centre

Package prices available are available when booking multiple sessions

What availability is there?

Availability will depend upon which trainer you choose; appointments are usually available on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday between 11:30am - 4:45pm (starting times), but if you can't find a date to suit you, please get in touch with us so we can find a way to help you.

How many sessions should I book?

It is best to start with just one session, and the trainer can discuss with you what the best spacing/timing for the next session, as it can vary from dog to dog, depending on their needs. It is also a good idea to leave a little space between booking sessions to allow time to practise and implement the learnings and training.

Can I cancel my sessions?

Check out our T&Cs here for our cancellation policy.

After completing Gun Dog Instructor Training with Helen Phillips at Clicker Gun Dogs, Becky runs our Pet Gun Dog classes and is also an IMDT Easy Peasy Puppy Instructor, helping to teach Puppy Training & Socialisation classes.

Becky's specialism lies in supporting Gun Dogs, but many of the basic training techniques are transferable across all breeds, such as helping dogs who are easily distracted, suffer from 'selective hearing' when called, or pull on the lead.

Becky also works with Gun Dog puppies to begin harnessing their skills from an early age, so they  are more work-ready when the time comes.

Typical availability is
